EDUCATION

West Dallas Community School

West Dallas Community School was founded in 1995 to serve the families of West Dallas in Texas, an area of extreme poverty that for decades had been a forgotten part of the city. The school offers a college preparatory Christian education for children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. In the West Dallas Community, one in three families lives in poverty and only 35% of adults finish high school.  In contrast, 94% of West Dallas attendees graduate high school.

A portion of every school project Pantheon completes is donated to support West Dallas Community School's educational initiatives.

Youth Believing in Change

Youth Believing in Change is a faith-based organization offering after-school and summer programs to elementary school students in the Vickery Meadows Community in Dallas.

Their buses pick children up from local area schools, bringing them back to Youth Believing in Change facilities where they  are fed a hot nutritious meal, receive assistance with completing their homework, and then participate in a music program.

A portion of the profits Pantheon receives from every school project is currently donated to Youth Believing in Change to give children the educational foundation they need to succeed.

Interfaith Housing Coalition

For over 25 years, Interfaith's Home & Hope Transitional Housing Program has provided transitional housing via 49 apartments that they own debt free; self-sufficiency programs such as career counseling and budget mentoring; and children & teen programs for approximately 100 homeless families per year.

Children in their Home & Hope program who are not old enough to attend school receive daycare services through local partners. Children in grades K-6 attend a special Waldorf-based after-school program designed to stabilize and calm their day-to-day lives through emphasis on creativity and self-esteem. Additionally, a licensed play therapist, assessment coordinator, and volunteer tutors help fill any educational or emotional gaps. Their Home & Hope Teen program provides an age-appropriate space for homework, tutoring, devotion, and group therapy sessions for teens.

A portion of the profits Pantheon receives from every school project is donated to help fund IHC’s children and teen education programs.
